Nearly every company in the manufacturing industry must deal
with processwater problems. The best and most cost-effective
solution for these problems is to recover and purify the
processwater. |
|
|
|
By recycling the recovered
water back into the manufacturing process, you can:
-
Reduce processwater
treatment costs
-
Reduce processdisposal
costs
-
Minimize the quantities of
rinse water generated
-
Improve water quality and
temperature
-
Provide a constant source
of DI water
-
Maximize recovery of
precious metals in the processwater
-
Reduce EPA compliance
requirements
-
Recycling & reuse is an
approach towards ISO – 14000.
|
|
processwater usually consists of
rinse water and processwater streams with low levels of
contaminants which can be recovered and recycled back the
manufacturing operations. "Most
manufacturing plants could recycle about 95% of the water
used in their production process." |

Industries
Served
HF Pure Water has expertise
in solving industrial processwater problems from many major
industries, with the focus on rinse water and processwater
recovery and recycling projects in these applications:
HF Pure Water has developed several
unique process designs which treat rinse water and
processwater streams and produce RO or DI quality water. HF
Pure Water also combines these technologies with vacuum
evaporation to provide completely closed loop-True Zero
Discharge Systems.
HF Pure Water utilizes several
technologies, choosing the best equipment and methodology to
produce the water quality required by your production
operations. |
|
Technologies
HF Pure Water utilizes combinations
of the following technologies to provide integrated rinse
water and processwater recovery and recycling systems. |
|
Carbon Filtration
Carbon filtration is often the
first step in the filtration process. Its function is to
remove organic matter (i.e. oils, grease, solvents, and
surfactants) from the processwater stream.
UF/RO Systems
Ultra Filtration (UF) and
Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems are normally used in
conjunction with other filtration systems to provide clean
water can be recycled back into the manufacturing system. |

 |
Ion Exchange
Resin Systems
Ion exchange is used to remove
dissolved ions (anion and cation) from the water through the
use of synthetic resins, resulting in an extremely high
level of purity. During the ion removal process, the ions
are bound to the resin and then released and removed during
the regeneration cycle. This ion exchange resin is
regenerated using strong chemicals (acid and caustic) that
remove the ions captured by the resin.
In cases where the rinse water or processwater contains
suspended oils and grease from machinery operations, other
systems are utilized to first remove the oil and grease,
then is processed through other purifying systems. |

|
|
|
Vacuum Distillation
Systems
Vacuum Distillation systems are used in closed-loop or
zero-discharge systems. By distilling the processwater, the
smallest particles of contaminants are removed, resulting in
a pure water. The concentrated process, which is less than 5%
of the water processed, can be hauled off-site in
significantly smaller amounts, reducing your hauling and
dumping costs. |

benefits of processwater recovery and recycling systems is
available from HF Pure Water, technical specialist.
HF Pure Water, a leader in
water and processwater treatment systems also offers processWater Recycling Systems for various industries.
"processwater recycling
and reuse is becoming the order of the day for all types of
industries everywhere."

ADVANTAGES OF
RECYCLING & REUSE OF processWATER
In any industry, water in
untreated or treated form is used for various applications.
Hence the process- water is being generated in various
sections. The sources typically can be as follows:
-
Cooling Tower Blow Down
-
Boiler Blow Down
-
Dm Plant Regeneration
process
-
Softener Regeneration
process
-
Plating Plant Rinse process
-
Floor Washings
END USE OF
RECYCLED WATER
The recycled water
generated from processwater can be used for following
applications after suitable post – treatment:
- Process Water
- Boiler Feed
- Cooling Tower Make Up
- Chillers
- As Soft Water
- As DM Water
- Gardening and General
Purpose
HF Pure Water installed and
commissioned their first True Zero Discharge effluent
recycle system way back in 1989. After that there was no
looking back.
HF Pure Water has complete technological offerings required
for updating of your existing effluent treatment systems,
pretreatment technologies & Reverse Osmosis systems.
